I have known Katarina for over 20 years and she has been nothing but a dedicated community member and neighbor. Her experience working on policies for Bernie Sanders, protecting Vermont's most vulnerable for DCF and helping lift Waterbury as our Recreation Director all tell me Kat will point us in the right direction in Montpelier.

As the retired Bolton Town Clerk and Treasurer, I had the privilege of serving our community for more than a decade. During that time, I had the opportunity to work with dozens of volunteers and residents committed to making our community stronger. Katarina Lisaius has always been one of those people. Whether volunteering during elections, sewing masks for residents during the pandemic, or stepping up whenever help was needed, she has consistently put community first.
Having worked in local government, I know that effective public service begins with listening. Katarina is approachable, easy to talk to, and takes the time to hear people's concerns and ideas. Those are exactly the qualities I believe make an effective legislator. She understands that every conversation matters and that good government starts by building trust with the people it serves.
Katarina also understands local government from the ground up. Through her involvement in our community and her professional experience in local and state government, she appreciates both the opportunities and the challenges our towns face. She knows that the best solutions come from working collaboratively, respecting different perspectives, and always keeping the needs of Vermonters at the center of every decision.
The qualities I value most in a public servant are integrity, compassion, common sense, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the work done. Katarina has demonstrated those qualities time and again.
I am proud to endorse Katarina Lisaius for the Vermont House of Representatives. I know she will be a thoughtful, accessible, and hardworking representative who will serve our district with the same dedication she has already shown our community.
